Chris Sutton held Ally McCoist responsible for his dad’s dancing after Rangers’ Europa League semi-final triumph.
Sutton called the Ibrox icon ‘annoying’ after he was filmed joining in the joyous celebrations after the final whistle at Ibrox last night.
Despite the comment, McCoist promised to get his dancing shoes back on in a few weeks as Rangers travel to Sevilla to take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the grand final of European competition.
Pundits reflected on the hilarious moment, which was caught on camera during his pundit duties on Thursday.
Chris Sutton mocked Ally’s antics on BT’s Scottish Football Extra.
He said: “It was a bit awkward, some of Ally’s dancing dads.”
“But listen, I totally embarrass him. I’ve hammered Rangers over the years, and they’ve completely deserved it, but hats off to them for this run.
“The players will never forget that.”
Ally admitted he was getting a bit of stick for his moves, but that won’t stop him from pulling them out again during the Sevilla showpiece.
However, Ally didn’t seem phased and promised he would pull off the same moves during the Sevilla showpiece.
He said “Let me tell you guys something, I’ll work on it [dancing] for Seville.
“I will work on some moves and you will see different dances from me.
“Do not worry about that.”
What if the Rangers win? Who knows what we can expect from Ally.
